Laptop to desktop Ethernet

FallenPhoenixRA

Ok so in our new house it is too far to route Ethernet to my desktop and for the moment the Wi-Fi card I ordered is getting here late.  I am wondering if there is any way to use my laptop as an antenna and plug a short Ethernet cable from the laptop to my desktop.  The only issue is that each computer is trying to pull Wi-Fi from each other instead of the laptop sending Wi-Fi to my desktop.  Is there a program that can allow me to only have one way?

Yes it is possible

You don't need a program

Go to Network and Sharing center > Change adapter settings > Right click on the Wifi > Properties and under Sharing tab check on Allow other uses to connect....

it should bridge your wifi to desktop via ethernet cable.
