PC Upgrade tips

I want to upgrade my PC but main focus is which CPU upgrade I should get. 

 

Mainly use my PC to game and do a bit video editing.

 

Open to any advice. THANKS!

ATX-512WBR red/black Mid Tower

 

PSU: Rosewill Hive Series 750W Modular Gaming Power Supply, 80 PLUS Bronze Certified, Single +12V Rail

 

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA 970-D3P AM3 AMD

 

CPU: AMD FX-8320 Vishera 8-core 3.5 GHz AM3+125w

 

CPU Liquid cooler: Corsair H100i with fan mod (2x EKWB Furious Vadar FF5-120 max 3000 RPM)

 

GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 Hybrid 8GB

 

RAM Cards: Hyper FuryX 8GB(2x 4GB) DDR3 1600 & EVGA Superclocked 16GB(2x 8GB) DDR3 1600

 

SSD & Hard Drive: Kingston SSDnow V300 series 2.5 120GB SATA 3 Internal SSD & Seagate Internal 2T hard drive

The only thing you really need is a CPU upgrade.  Unfortunately, the only way to do that (because FX kind of sucks) is by getting a new motherboard, and probably new RAM.  Personally I'd suggest an R5 1400 (or 1600 if you can afford it) with 3200MHz DDR4 RAM.

Go for a Ryzen 5 1500X / 1600 or Ryzen 1700 and pair it with a B350/X370 motherboard if you like multitasking.

 

If you're more about gaming than multitasking or video editing, you can consider a I7-7700K with Z270 motherboard.

 

Do not upgrade to another FX cpu as you will not notice much benefit.
