Just curious i just started getting into OCing with my 6800k was wondering what people have gotten there up to with closed loop water cooling. Thanks for info

I'm at 3.8ghz atm planning on going to 4.0ghz

3.8? boi thats a six core, spread your wings and fly. most people get to like 4.5-4.7 at 1.3-1.4 volts

4,2GHz is something most i7 6800k can handle without any problems.

Over 4,4GHz if you are lucky and don't mind more power consumption.

 

with that CPU I would go straight to 4,2GHz and test it from there.

@Simon771 @Nickathom So if i do go straight to 4.2ghz in bios i change freq to that and change vcore only on voltage?

yyeah, set it to 1.375

Yeah chnage multiplier to 40, and set voltage to 1,25V ... if that doesn't work, increase voltage step by step. 1,275 .... 1,3 ... 1,325 etc.

Don't go over 1,4V. At least I wouldn't go.

That seems like a lot of voltage for 4GHz ... 4,2GHz should work on 1,35V
