PC Crashing Randomly

So when playing games such as Payday 2 and Overwatch along with what i believe GTA V my Computer monitor blacks out, my PC fans go on very loud. My friend had told me it was a wiring problem or something like that.. not sure looking for any advice on how to stop this annoying crashing. Does not happen often only as much as twice or possibly three times in a day of use. general specs i7 6700k cpu @ 4.00 ghz 

ram 16 gb

64x based processor 64-bit operating system

very bad at computers so that information could be very useless or not enough there not sure

monitor blacks out fans go on very loud all programs still operating (atleast spotify because i could still hear that) 

something in my temps said a ridiculous temp but i think my house would have burnt down so im assuming display error
