So today my windows 10 pc was working just fine. I put the computer to sleep then came back about 4 hours later. I pressed a key on the keyboard and the computer woke but none of the monitors came on. I have this problem often. I just turn it off and back on again. This time when i pressed the power button I got the blue screen of death. Then when the computer tried to come back on again it can't find windows on my drives and tries to find it on the cd drive. I went into bios and made sure it boots to my ssd first, the device with windows on it. Sill doesn't work. Tried to go to boot menu and boot to the ssd and it still can't find windows. I have restarted several times and the same thing keeps happening.

what error do you get when it blue-screens?

EDIT: i missed the part that it can't find Windows. is the sata cable in good condition? i had the same issue earlier today, and it turned out to be a broken sata cable.

Didn't work. I think my ssd is corrupted. Surprising as I've only had it for a couple years

not something i know much on

but since ssd empty format drive as a GPT disc not MBR(default)

then do windows transfer/migration from hdd to ssd or reinstall windows

type gpt hdd partition it links to technet has gpt formatter software
