This would be my first gaming pc, so I want some feedback on the parts I have picked so far, whether they are compatible (On PCPartPicker, it says they are all compatible but I have heard that this is not 100% reliable) and if it would be able to run most AAA games.

Intel - Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor - £224.96

be quiet! - Pure Rock Slim 35.1 CFM CPU Cooler - £21.95

Asus - Z170M-PLUS Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard - £172.52

Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory - £114.09

Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive - £83.38

Seagate - Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive - £42.97

Zotac - GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3GB Mini Video Card - £189.99

Thermaltake - Versa H15 MicroATX Mid Tower Case - £34.98

EVGA - 430W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply - £42.50

Total - £931.29

I would like for the PC to remain under £1000 but if something definitely needs changing, let me know and I will look for a different one. Please don't destroy me if I have made any major mistakes, I am very new to this.

1060 3GB version is a poor buy, mobo way more expensive than you need:

That case and PSU are absolutely tragic for the budget. An 80+ white rated unit does not belong in a £1000 system. Motherboard is ridiculously over-priced. Low budget cooler with an unlocked i5 is kinda stupid IMO.

You can get the 450W version of the PSU if you want, for around £55, or alternatively;

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/FQ648d/corsair-power-supply-cp9020101na

Stock cooler will be fine. Significantly better/nicer case, and a much better PSU.

GTX 1060 is kind of a placeholder as GPU prices are really stupid right now. You honestly might be able to find a used GTX 980Ti for about £300, which would be a good shout. I wouldn't spend more than £300 on GPU though. Other than a 980Ti, you might be able to find a used GTX 980 for £250ish or even a GTX 970 at a reasonable price.
