It should splice into a PWM connector with the fan itself, then you just plug one connector in.

cpu coolers like the MSI Core Frozr L have an led cable and im not sure where that should be plugged in. Does anyone know?

oh ok, so its a y splitter so you only plug it into the cpu fan header am i correct? Thank you so much!!
