It's negligible outside benchmarks - I actually think my XM941 is slower than the SSD I replaced with it

I think the 1600 comes with a stock cooler as well. Since you plan on upgrading cooling (not using the included one), you may want to upgrade to the 1600x for $30 - moving from base of 3.2 to 3.6. Theoretically 13% better CPU performance for a total system cost increase of 2.3%.

Yes, but a 1600's boost is said to hit 3.6... And the 1600x 4.0.
