Is this a good PC?

I want to make sure this is a good PC for GTA V and GTA IV. also some lighter titles. I already have a 1 TB hard drive and a SSD from my computer now. I dont really care about how the computer looks.

RAM won't work its DDR3. You need DDR4 for skylake. Also don't skimp on the power supply. Get something better. Use pcpartpicker.

what is your max budget?

For GTA V I would try squeezing an i5 or r5 14000 for best perf, especially for games to come. also, ram incompatible

Would be best to spend more money on a cpu if you want to play gtav. But If you want to get speakers its not really possible.

Debatable especially if he is playing a cpu intensive game such as gtav. Those 10 extra frames can make a big difference.

a g4560 > i3 7100 won't give an extra 10fps lol, there's only 0.4ghz clock difference, other than that they're pretty much the same.

Well more accurately an average of an 8fps difference on gtav.

If he's playing on a 60hz monitor, seeing as its 59 vs 67, that makes it even more not worth it. Especially at an extra $40. thats $5 per extra FPS lol, this is meant to be a budget system.

as long as the game is playable. right now my PC plays GTA V at a wooping 2 FPS.

The g4560 is capable of that anyway.

 

the 7100 is overall about 10-15% better performance, at 40-50% extra cost. not worth it.

Different video but basically same thing. My argument is that the 7100 would more consistently be at/above the 60fps mark which is a lot smoother. Price per performance isn't there but that slight added performance makes a big difference imo.

you need to try and wait till 3/4th quarter to buy a PC prices will drop then and you be able to put better hardware in that case for the same amount of money!
