What directx version should I be using?

hedghehog

I have a 1050ti which is advertised to support directx 11. When I checked what directx version my computer was using I found out that it is using version 12. Should I switch back to version 11?

Thanks

the game decides, not you, unless theres an option to switch between directx versions (say, GTA V and its DX9/10/11 support)

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

11 currently gives more performance than 12, so use 11, but 9 is the fastest (iirc) for GTA V

Right now DX11 is probbably your safest bet.

DX12 still needs to be polished.

While DX9 doesn't support hyperthreading, so I wouldn't use that at all.
