First PC build

faesh

Hi, I am about to buy a new PC and kinda dont know what parts are the best for their price etc. The PC will be primarily used for gaming (Overwatch, WoW, Diablo, hots, lol, would like to also try witcher) at 1080p and occasionally it will be used for 3d stuff in Cinema 4D. Because I have no clue if I should get amd or intel i made two builds which differs only in CPU, MB and RAM (I am planing on getting more ram later so only 8gb for now). My budget is 25 000 czech crowns, thats roughly 1090 usd but you dont have to go to the limit. Also this budget is for pc only, i already have the peripherals.

Go with Ryzen. 3x more threads and larger l3 cache which favors multitasking. And intel has shitty box cooler.

Okay then =D, ryzen it is. Part-wise, are the parts I chose ok or should I change something?

Try to fit Sandisk 240 GB SSD and try to change a motherboard to something from ASUS or Gigabyte or ASRock but rest is very good

Nope looks good, I'd get another 8gb stick in the future, and possibly upgrade the gpu (once prices come back down)

What? Are you trying to say MSI's motherboards are inferior to these three? They actually have a better track record for reliability than most manufacturers.

The stock cooler is good enough for locked chips, but the Ryzen 5 chips are way better value.

As for unlocked Intel chips - the latest Kabylake 7600k and 7700k have a shit integrated thermal compound between the CPU die and IHS that makes them like 25 degrees hotter, so those aren't a great purchase either. This problem also affects the new 'Kaby Lake X' dummy chips.

Thanks for the info, now I know why Kaby Lake has so much thermal issues.

Kaby Lake X makes no sense as the whole line especially that i5 ffs. Only i9 and some i7s make sense in that line :/

Some MSI's boards are nice but I would personally recommend this one over MSI's B350 boards

On what basis? Also, that's over his budget.
