It was like 15$ (60W), yea i have been cleaning it with wire tip cleaner and sponge

Yeah, go ahead and throw it in the bin.

That black powder is burnt ceramic dust from the heating element. It definitely shouldn't do that.

yes, a soldering iron with temperature control is so much better ... i had some of these $15 thingies and my solder points all looked like garbage.

If you get the one I bought, make sure you also buy some new tips.  It only comes with one.  They aren't expensive.
