My Issue With The "Reset Button"

So, I pressed the reset button located at the front of my Phanteks Eclipse P400. It rebooted as usual, but It's now ridiculously slow. What gives? I cannot eve open Steam, or anything really! Could somebody, anybody help me out? Please?

Have you consider that the problem was not the reset button?   Did you press the button because the system had hang? 

 

Something could have been damaged and that is why you had to use the reset.

I was looking at a TechQuickie video about making a non-native resolution look a lot better. My screen started flickering so I decided to press it.

did you try a normal reboot or a cold reboot? Are you stuck in safe mode everytime you boot?

We have to little information to give conclusive answers to your question.

I am not sure. Every time I turned on my computer to see if the issue had been resolved, It went to normal Widows, but very very slow. Sometimes a kind of error came up saying "Your computer couldn't turn off properly" after I turned it on, and came up with different options like proceed to Windows, but that made no difference.

No, that was just after I pressed it.

OK, wellll that is not a good reason to hit the reset button that button is reserved as the last resort in restarting your system when it hangs. You may have inadvertently corrupted something.

3) Maybe use something like Ccleaner to speed things up/optimize it.  I mean you could use one like ASC, but a lot of them have placebo effects/tells you that you need to buy shit to fix it or exaggerates things.

 

4)  Virus scan Malwarebytes and/or Kaspersky or BitDefender.
 

5) If you got any error messages check for a report on that in the OS's utilities.

 

6) It is possible in some cases that a driver is causing a conflict.

 I completely forgot you could do it through the settings, which I think is what you meant.
