I built my PC a few months ago and have been running on integrated graphics since then. I have been looking at upgrading to a video card but have no idea what to get. I was looking at a Rx 580 or a GTX 1060 but could not decide between them. Both are for some reason way over the suggested retail price for some reason. I have a free sync monitor and for that reason I am looking for an Amd card. I am running a 1080p wide-screen at 75Hz and I play CS:Go, Overwatch, Skyrim, Farcry 4 to name a few. What card should I get for $300>

blame miners for the GPU price hike

id get a used gtx 980 or something, that way you get RX580 and 1060 performance at a reasonable cost

Rx 580 is better in performance than 1060. But due to mining trend prices are quite silly due to these cards have  good hash rate. If i was on ur place i would be waiting for this trend to endup an then buy one of these power efficient cards
