im assuming you meant 3.4 cause if your getting a 34 ghx oc then hmm with them sweet trade secrets, i do believe you can achieve a stable 3.8 ghz oc, maybe its your mobo if your having table passing 3.4 I'm really not so sure about this kinda stuff but idk

No.

You either lost the silicon lottery HARD (boost is HIGHER than 3.6ghz) or

wait

H67. You can't overclock unless you have Z67!

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Yes. You can't overclock on H67.

You need Z67 or Z77 to overclock with a K series CPU.

I think the 34* was meant to indicate the multiplier was 34×. (* is often used in computing as a replacement for the mathematical "×" symbol as it is easier to type)

BLCK fucks with everything and makes it very unstable past maybe 103.

it fucks with PCI, PCIE, SATA, USB, RAM, etc.

H100i can't overclock either. You need Z170 or Z270 to overclock 6th or 7th gen K series CPUs.

You need Z270 to overclock 7700k. You need Z170 or Z270 to overclock 6700k. You can't overclock 7700k on H270.

I thought X and * were synonymous on the Internet.

He said H110i and I think he meant Corsair H110i AIO, not H110 chipset.

That's only for cooling. You'll get good temps when stock though :)

Just upgrade to ryzen or cannon lake. Not worth investing into Sandy

Agreed, unless you can find P67 / Z68 / Z77 motherboard for like $60, and you are happy / have decent other components.

Well, check out your local used market and see whats out there. I'm sure there will be some for sale, but prices for Sandy / Ivy Bridge motherboards are usually around $100.

OK, that is not terrible. Maybe you can sell the H67 one and get few dollars back. Or keep it just in case.

I bought mine Z77 FTW in October of last year for 80 euros (~$100), so you should be able to make a good deal.

Well, I found the ad on a local ebay-like site.

And I didn't know we were talking about canadian dollars here. In that case $150 isn't bad at all.
