I specked out this PC that is on my budget of just above $1000 USD and was wondering what yalls thoughts were on it. I had been considering an old xeon build but after looking at all the options I am leaning more towards an i7 build that will host a Virtual machine for the living rooms home theater pc via steam link when needed. As a note, windows will be purchased elsewhere so it is not on this build and the 1050 will be replaced whenever the new 1170 comes out as GPU prices right now are insane. Basically, what are yalls thoughts and recommendations. (Tax is not factored in but will not be a problem) Build Attached Via Excel.

My savior!

Let's see, I'd go for one 16Gig stick of ram so you can upgrade longer. Also, I wouldn't buy a GPU if you're already planning an upgrade, but I guess you gotta game so it's fine.

Nica RAM! Isn't The PSU overpriced?

Note 10, S10, Samsung becomes Apple, Zen 2, 3700X, Renegade X lol

A. If you're going for that CPU go AT LEAST to a 1060/70

B. Downgrade RAM speed. Intel chips dont need it (but Ryzens do plz go Ryzen)

C. Unless im wrong the PSU is overkill. Go CX450M

Thanks, I’m getting an 1050 until the 11 series GTX cards come out then I will get a high end one, either 1170 or 1180. Also why do you say go ryzen? They are better in terms of multi core but lower clock speed? Like I plan on running a virtual machine whenever needed but giving it one core or even two should be good with hyper threading right?
