What can i do to make my cpu cooler?

I have 6700k 1.35v 4.6ghz with a d15s cooler, 2000rpm 140mm fan, and mx4 thermal paste

my cpu is delidded and still reaches temperatures up to 80c during the summer

I know this is still safe but i would like it to be lower without getting watercooling and the nh-d15s is the biggest air cooler that will fit in my case

I want my max temp to be 70-75 during the summer max

what should i do? I have $228 but i don't think i need that much.

Get an AC for your room. If your Ambient temps are high, like 28-30c, then your overall temps are going to be higher than normal. I have the same chip at the same frequency/voltages and with my Cryorig R1 Ultimate with a room ambient at 23c would reach maximum of 73c on the package. Get your room ambient temps down and you will see improvements.

Add a 120mm fan to the front of the Noctua. 

 

Use a top-level thermal paste like Kryonaut or GC-Extreme

MX4 is just fine. Likely only a 1-3c difference.

He's looking for a minimum of 5c drop. Every degree counts so an extra fan and baller paste should drop it more than 5.

Chances are his ambient room temps are the problem. There is no way even with the choked case that I run, the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX that he should get those temps with that setup unless his ambient temp is up.

Your temps are fine. Why not leave it as is?
