S7 volume question

So I had an s6 edge before, and whenever I was on Snapchat and turned down the volume it would turn down the media volume and to turn down call couple I'd have to be on my home screen or an non media app. And I liked it that way.

 

This phone seems to only turn it down when there is sound playing. When I'm on Snapchat it turnes down in call volume on my s7, then I have to press the arrow than use my finger to turn down media.

 

Is there a way to switch this?

I have a s7 and normally unless you have music playimg in the background or on a media app includeing snapchat the media volume will go up or down if there is no media playing but youre in a media app your ringtone will go up and down same goes for if your not in a media app and dont have media playing

when you press the volume button, there should be drop down allowing you to expand to other volume options.

although i run Nova Launcher, so it may be from that.

It's weird it's not even the ring tone, it's the in call volume that it turns up or down

I see that, but I'd rather have it do it. It's annoying doing it that way

so you found the solution, you just dont like it.  

well, thats android. either get a custom rom or go apple, or just deal with it

they updated the volume controls in a recent Android update, you now have to use the drop down, it won't do it automatically. very annoying

Well my s6 didn't do that. They have the same version as Android. Why would one phone and Evey adorid phone I have had do it that way, but this one be different. I though that would be a software thing not phone spefic.

 

But like Evey single company in the world it seens They always get rid of good things for other stuff, old people think is better but the younger generation doest.

 

 

Just have to wait for all the older generations to die off before we can finally have a good america.

ND even when on a media app it still won't change get it? Why would they do that

 

I'm in YouTube. The video is playing, I go to change get volume a d it does in call volume
