Heres the thing though: you don't need a 1080Ti. Unless you have three 4k displays and plan on playing games maxed out at 120fps. Hell, I'm just about satisfied with my GTX 1050 Ti on 1080p, 60fps (Although I lock it at a lower framerate to get better visuals and more stability). I would say, find out what games you would plan on playing, and find out what the cheapest stuff you can get to play it at your desired settings. You can save a lot of money that way.

Mining will probably never crash. It's likely, but might not happen. If anything the prices will because then all the people who wanted to get into it and purchased thousands of GPUs will realize how horrid it actually is to make money from (Have a buddy with 4x R9 380's, and he only made like $300 a month, and his power bill was around $250).

Lowest? I play maxed out. And I sit around 120FPS. Happily play it too. Until I play comp. Then I just quit, lol.

Yeah i get that. I can afford the price, it is just that i am not happy with the overpriced gpu. No matter how rich I am, I still feel sad for this. Cant they just stay at the original price even stock is low?

You guys DO understand that maybe he wants to play AAA titles on high/Max settings right?

I can do that with my 1050 Ti. Shit, if I were to upgrade to a 1060 I could easily do that.

It is thanks to miners that I got my 1080Ti. I sold my 1070 used for more than I paid for it new :P Then paid the difference to upgrade to a 1080Ti (£700 here)

well if they are double - sell your current RX 480 strix - for a higher price than you bought it for then buy yourself a 1080 ti or a 1060 ti

That would have worked a month ago. But now NVidia is sold out and at higher prices too.

LOL. Australia is like that at all points in time. $1400 for the same GPU you mentioned, but has always been that way.

Yeah damn this country. Though I think it's Scorptec have the Zotac GTX 1080Ti mini for $1150 AUD.. Which isn't too bad (about $870 USD) considering that Founders Editions were $1200 at launch. But it's still ~$100 AUD more than the Zotac 1080Ti AMP edition from Newegg though.
