There's multiple issues that can cause a sudden decline in overall internet quality.

  1. Your router needs a firmware update. Here's a guide to navigate to your router's page and from there you can check if you need to update your router's firmware.
  2. Your ISP is throttling your internet connection. This can happen for multiple reasons (torrenting being one.) If this ends up being the issue, there isn't a whole lot you can do about it.
  3. Your WIFI or Ethernet Adapter isn't working as well as it used to. If you're using WIFI, switch to ethernet temporarily and see if the issue persists. I'm assuming the ethernet port you use is the one on your motherboard. You may want to purchase an external PCI-E ethernet adapter card.

I never said it was illegal, however, ISPs don't like when their bandwith goes towards torrenting and can respond by throttling (somewhat illegal)

ye in spain its illegal for ISP's to even look at your history or activity. i think anyway. but i dont think my ISP throttled. i had some issues a few months ago and they said they were doing "maintenance".
