Posted July 4, 2017 dude this is really not how it works! Each of the cameras above could be "the best" for a particular usage, for different reasons. I see no point in the t6i being compared to the t7i, since the latter will obviously have advantages over the former (in this particular instance, the t7i is not an incrimental upgrade over the t6i either...). The nikons are an incremental upgrade of each other, the d5600 being the newer and best of the 3. The a7 (I assume you are talking about the original) has a FF sensor for God's sake and is an entire different market segment aimed at entirely different people. It comes with many advantages and disadvantages over the others. The same sort of goes for the Olympus, although not entirely. So your choice is really between the A7, t7i, Olympus and d5600. And at this point in time you could go for anyone of them for a different set of reasons. The only case I will make is between the d5600 vs t7i, where I would recommend the t7i, just because at this point in time it is newer and has several significant advantages over the nikon like DPAF, a far better stills AF system and newer processor. (I would probably not say the same when the d5700 or whatever it will be called is released...) Other than that, the a7 and Olympus would be "the best" for any set of reasons. It is not so clear cut. 6700k|Hyper 212 EVO|Asus Z170 Deluxe|GTX970 STRIX|16gb 2400mhz Teamgroup memory|Samsung 950 PRO+ 2TB Seagate HDD| CM Realpower M1000|H440 Take a look at my flickr?: https://www.flickr.com/photos/150012948@N06/ Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/802426-which-camera-is-best/#findComment-10089835 Share on other sites
 Posted July 9, 2017 Again, it depends. What do you need it for? I'm a low budget film-maker so I use mid-priced DSLRs. I love my Canon 80D but my kit lens is crap. I use a website where I rent lenses. I always love using telephoto lenses which makes the camera ten times better. Lenses is what makes the cameras awesome or horrible. At university sometimes I use a broadcasting camcorder. If there's loads of movement or I'm making a investigative documentary for example I want the best auto focus hence I use the big camcorders at uni. If I'm not using tracks or anything like that and I know what I'm filming, DSLR hands down. I usually prefer to shoot at 50 fps (I live in the UK so 60fps is a no no) because it gives me more power when I edit. So again what do you need it for? Here's what I'll go with Family, cat videos etc - your phone camera Starter film-making/youtube - cheap camcorder or a Canon 750D Budget Enthusiast- Canon 80D or 70D / Sony A68 Semi-Pro - Canon 5D Professional - Canon 1D/ Most Camcoders over £1,500 / Canon C100/ Super 16 cameras Now if you hit the jackpot and want to produce a cinematic masterpiece or want to make tech videos like Linus The RED hands down or if you're a hipster like me and think anamorphic is better...then this 65mm panavision baby... Posted July 9, 2017 Entirely depends on your subject, lighting conditions, necessary lenses, etc. so I can't provide a "best option" answer for you other than that "the best camera is the one you have on you." - Kai Wong, DRTV Desktop: KiRaShi-Intel-2022 (i5-12600K, 5060 Ti) Mobile: Moto Razr 50 Ultra (Razr+ 2024) | 30GB CAN+US+MEX $30/month Laptop: Lenovo Yoga 7i (16") 82UF0015US (i7-12700H, 16GB/2TB RAM/SSD, A370M GPU) Tablet: Lenovo Tab Plus (256GB) Camera: Canon M6 Mark II | Canon Rebel T1i (500D) | Canon SX280 Music: Spotify Premium (CIRCA '08) Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/802426-which-camera-is-best/#findComment-10116540 Share on other sites
