hello everyone

yesterday I bought a used gtx 8800 ,it was in a very good condition that's why I bought it . But when I came home and booted the PC after putting the card in it .. the PC works just fine .. the problem is the screen have this marks in it ,,

PS: this marks exist in the BIOS too .

so is there any way to fix this card ??

Please provide more detailed info on the PC.

Motherboard model would be nice to know.

Would also be nice to know if the PC has ever had a GPU installed and if it worked properly.

 

From those pictures it could either be a defective card, the PCI-E slot could be defective or either of them could just be dirty. Or the GPU might not be plugged in properly

its an ASUS p5vd2-mx se ( old but its getting the job done)

I don't know if this MB has ever had a GPU installed cause I only bought it yesterday with the GPU .

the GPU is plugged properly and I have tried a million times and the dame result each time : with the GPU the marks shows up ... without it there is no marks ..

 

if it defective .. is there any solution ?

yeah you are right ... that's why I bought it in the first place ... it looked like new and for 4 bucks I was willing to take the risk ... the motherboard was fine tho for only 5 bucks along with a Pentium CPU and a heatsink
