Hi guys,

My Titan X recently died (pink squares everywhere) - had it under warranty thankfully and replaced it with the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AORUS Xtreme Edition 11GB. Upon installation, I had some BSOD's with the 124 Code. Think it was mostly a case of driver's clashing from previous card. After fixing this I was experiencing huge lag with windows when moving boxes around, keyboard input, mouse movements etc were all quite slow. I fixed this by updating my motherboard's BIOS and whilst this improved things somewhat, things still feel a bit laggy. Feels like micro lag of some-sort - really hard to lock-down but when I select text or type text I notice it. Things sort of improved when I installed Asmedia ASM1042AE / ASM1142 USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver but then it sort of went back to how it was acting. Sometimes I feel like I'm a bit paranoid about it - I left it for a few days and came back to my computer and started noticing it again. I've reinstalled windows, drivers, disabled hyper-threading, tried different USB ports for mouse and keyboard, disabled Razer synapse etc.

Would love some suggestions if anyone has experienced something similar.

Also, if anyone has experience with the optimising the BIOS of the Z10PE-D8 WS I'd love some pointers.

Cheers,

Gerard.

I've got the Xeon's in Turbo mode - I'll dial them back to default. The board comes with VGA Output in the form of the ASpeed AST2400 32MB - I'll disable it and see how that goes. Current GPU load with GPU-Z its between 0-2%. CPU load is 4%.

Thanks :)

Turbo mode is disabled. I'm not sure if the IGPU can be disabled - had a look in BIOS but couldn't find any settings for onboard video. I looked at the manual as well but I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking for. Quite new to workstations in general. I'm running a memtest just to rule that out also. No errors at 3/4 pass.
