Currently at 4.9 @ 1.25v running fine so far, temps in the high 60s, not sure I want to go much further voltage wise as its all cooling in a custom loop with the 1070 on a 30mm 240 rad, don't want to over load it.

My question is however, cinebench is still showing 3.8 even though both core temp and hardware monitor both show its 4.9 with all 4 cores at 100%, my cinebench score is downing down, am I doing something wrong or? also if that score isn't changing, am I likely to see an improvement on the performance?

If your score isn't improving something isn't stable, try increasing the voltage a bit. You're safe until 1.34v assuming temps are okay.

keep that voltage and lower clockspeed to something a little more modest. (4.4-4.6ghz)

dropped to 4.6, left voltage at 1.3 and score dropped from 744 to 692

so obviously there's some improvement, if you can consistently get the same score @4.9 1.3v (close backround programs and whatever) then it should be stable. After testing about 5 times the score should only have a 5-10 difference between each result.

After you think it's stable move onto an Aida64 stresstest for awhile.

score went down? 4.9 passed aida for half an hour at 1.25, hadn't tested 5, should I go back up to 5 and carry on testing? or am I just adding higher temps for no benefit?

I meant there's improvement raising to 4.9, sorry.  5 what? 1.35v?

5.1 at 1.33v think ill leave it there as temps are getting over 75, don't want to stress that rad too much, although score has gone up again after that little extra boost :)
