I have a Samsung M.2 960 Pro 2TB.  The motherboard slot puts it right next to my graphics card and temps were regularly getting up to 50c.  Now I understand these start to throttle around 100c so I'm nowhere near that but I still didn't like the temps.

Three Raspberry Pi heat sinks stuck to the M.2 drive in a line starting closest to the motherboard interface (where it seems to get hottest) and now my drive sits between 37c and 39c.

Simple cheap solution.

Ok. So here is my even moar ghetto advice:

Make a bracket to hold 1-2 ancient HDD cooler fans. (they are tiny) Mount them diagonal, so they blow over your ghetto heatsinks. You should be able to mount the bracket with the screw, and maybe some moar mounting solutions on the back of your case.

Those ancient HDD coolers should be very cheap new or used, because they are ancient.

Also see if you can get your hands on a Corsair RAM cooler and try that on it. Shits tiny.
