RAM running below speed

Hi all! I recently built my own rig, the details of which are in my signature. The RAM I have is a single 8gb stick of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 rated at 2666. (amazon link here). In the BIOS on my motherboard, I originally had the RAM set to automatically determine its own speed. However, within Windows 10 (and within several benchmarks) the RAM is showing as running at 1067 mhz. I've tried manually setting the RAM speed in the BIOS, with no effect. Am I doing something wrong, or is Windows 10 just being stupid (again)? I'm planning on buying more RAM, but if this is a known problem with this brand, I should probably look at other options.

RAM is Double Data Rate (hence DDR) so you multiply by 2 = 2133 Mhz, the default for DDR4. In your BIOS set the RAM to XMP mode

I thought I'd done that, but I'll need to double check. I might have enabled the wrong setting. Thanks!
