I am building my first gaming rig to replace my console. I play mostly FPS Games like BF3 ,Im not so into strategy games such as SC2 or RPGs. I wanted to post this here incase anyone could point out some mistakes or suggest some better parts. Keep in mind that I want to keep this around 900$ USD plus tax which is 8.25% where I live. For the storage I wanted the SSD to speed up the system a bit and I have some regular HDDs already.

Could the CPU be a possible bottleneck if I decide to go with SLI gtx 660s?

Specs:

CPU: Fx-6300

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

MotherBoard: MSI 990FX-GD65V2 ATX AM3+

Memory: Patriot 8gb 1866 Mhz Dual; Model #: PXD38G1866ELK

Storage: Corsair Force 3 120 GB

Video Card: Asus GTX 660 Direct CU II OC

Case: Cooler Master HAF 922

PSU: Cooler Master GX Series 650W, 80 Plus Bronze

90% of the time when people say they'll upgrade to sli in the future they don't :P a 660ti will satisfy you but the 7870 performs better and costs less.

Gimee a tick and i'll mock a build up for you that's one i'd build myself ;)

Here you go! The 7870 out performs even the 660 ti in most cases and was able to squeeze in the 8350 ;)

Good luck with the build!

This one won't bottleneck but neither did the 6300
