Hey guys,

So I haven't actually said hello to everyone yet. A little about myself, I'm Ben and I study Computing and Systems development as a degree.

Honestly I only came here for The Floatplane Club originally but I find myself spending more and more time on here with each passing day. When i was younger(around 12) I used to support BOINC so when i found out LTT had a folding team I just had to get involved. I have a few set-ups, an fx-6100 system, a couple i5 ultrabooks, an old pentium 4 running as a file server and an old pentium D running as a steaming box in the lounge. In the typical student way I use what I can scrounge half the time and I'm more than happy to use last generations(or older) kit to keep costs low. That being said, I'd still love a ryzen based system as soon as I can muster the funds to allow it. as far as hobbies go, I'm a homebrewer in my spare time and enjoy a good bike ride too. I'm well known in the local community for my work with charities, as a vounteer special needs/disabled youth worker, offering help for vulnerable people and of cause my love of making confectionery.

I'd love to hear about some of your set-ups, especially the older ones and what uses you guys find in older hardware!

Ben.

If someone has helped you out on the forum don't forget to give them a reaction to say thank you!
