Hey techies, So brief explanation, we have a client who we moving teir emails onto a hosted Office 365 package, everyone in the company mails migrated perfectly except for this one guy. His folders are massive and it crashed out a few times doing it off the system. Now nothing has been "Deleted" in the sense but some of his folders are Empty on both the cloud files and the old emails folders.

Anyone know of a recovery took take can rebuild the folders ? Normally we would just implement one of our Veeam backups but as they are a new client and just wanted our to manage their emails accounts we don't have one.

any suggestions ?

try going to outlook.com to see if they are there

if yes i believe there is export import options available

otherwise they maybe lost to all but microsoft

that would work if it was from the hosted to another Microsoft hosted, Our other tech is trying to locate who hosted their emails originally so we can see if they can do a recovery on their exchange server, but for now it looks like a EOL company.

can you use winxp outlook and add their credentials like normal but set ipaddress to call their server???

treating them as the server hosting the content and use port ?443? as the port of service
