Hey Guys,

I bought a new keyboard recently and only just realized it has 4 different polling rate options, I've had it on the lowest the entire time. When i try bump it up the keyboard seems to reboot and i'm unable to type anything on any setting other than setting 8. 125hz instead of 1000hz. Would anyone know why this is?

Another problem, whenever i plug the second USB into my PC it instantly shuts my computer down. Is my motherboard just not compatible with this keyboard or something? My black widow ultimate works just fine.

Ok, I am mostly clueless, but I think it may be a defective keyboard.

If you have any warranty or receipt, I would try to exchange it.

are you using the usb ports on back of motherboard, not front usb ports? Try swapping between usb 3 and 2. The fact that your whole computer shuts down sounds like a usb short or psu issue. Try the keyboard on another computer, then contact corsair customer service imo.

The polling rate switch is meant for older systems and stuff. So you do not need to change this setting if your computer is fairly new.
About the second usb connector,  maybe you are exceeding the number of usb devices connected. If your motherboard senses an overload, it will shut down to prevent any damage.
