Specs**** HP laptop (I think it's a pavilion)

Running Windows 8(not 8.1)

Amd vision processer (want able to get the exact specs)

Unknown amount of ram

So I have a problem with a relatives computer not turning on...

Once the system is turned on it boots to the HP logo and says "preparing automatic repair" (picture below), after a few minutes of this screen the display go's black and does nothing .

I did some research and from what I gathered this is a corrupt operating system and I took advice from a video I saw and pressed [ f11 + Power] which basically resets the operating system back to factory defaults. When I did this I got a screen that has [f11...system recovery] (picture below)which gave me a screen with the HP logo but instead said "please wait" with a loading icon (no picture of that sorry)...so I waited...and then after about 5 minutes...black screen. (It's worth noting iv done this several times with no other result)

So...one of the times by accident on the f11 screen..I didn't press f11. And it brought me to this screen. (Picture below, it is also at this point I found out that I can install from a usb)...so I went to the diagnostic tool and did a hard drive and memory check.the memory checks and the "quick" hard disk check passed but not the extensive test. I really have no idea how this software works, it's some sort of diagnostic test embedded in the bios from hp....so...this is where I'm at.

I do have a windows 10 iso that is bootable but I would rather try to repair windows 8 on this computer  than try to install it while it's in this state . Is there anything you could reccomened to me that could fix this?

Notes* there are no important documents on this computer so installing Windows 10 as a last resort isn't a big deal, and I tried to download the HP PC hardware diagnostic test and vision diagnostic test...which didn't play well with my other PC for some reason and I wasnt able to put it on a USB for this computer .

Edit**....and now when I run the hard drive or memory test it says "not installed" *facepalm*

Model number was found in the bios (pressing f10 plus power boots into bios) 2000-2b19WM

system specs are as follows

HP 2000 NOTEBOOK PC

AMD E -300 APU dual core clocked at 1.3ghz

4gb of ddr3 ram

windows 8 is the preinstalled OS

ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

Well. I tried to but now it can't find the boot drive....heheh..

And I was able to get into the bios with a hot key (f10 and power) and I switched the boot order to USB first instead of internal hard disk...but it still won't recognize the boot USB for some reason. This computer has been abused  very very VERY much over the last 2 years by said relative and its full of just random..stuff and most likely alot of viruses even if I am able to fix it (not to mention the old-er Apu that it's running). I'm going to try for a few more days before just reccomending a new computer (one that is not the cheapest computer at Walmart this time XD). Thanks for the help though
