So for my budget PC, I have come up with a completely ready list of parts to buy. I'm going to order VERY soon, as in next couple days. This is actually 25 dollars over my 700 dollar budget, but thats mostly for optimizing where things are coming from (i.e having prime shipping, I want it all within a day or two of the steam summer sale ending (want to make sure all the new games from the sale work on new PC)). This is all I have except headphones, mouse, keyboard, a 250 gb ssd, and the word of some other people on the forums that I can transfer my retail win 10 to my new pc. My budget is 700 USD, and I think all this is the best bang for my buck EXCEPT I have no idea what to get in terms of PSU.  My budget for PSU is around 20 dollars, though if its the difference between my PC being destroyed after a year or two I would go higher. (People have told me never to cheap out on PSU). I'm going to be doing lots of gaming and casual tasks (I need the 2tb for recordings). So my question is, are these good parts, and what PSU to get?

EDIT: Link to build lmao https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MKTF6X

Thanks!

I would not feel comfortable recommending a PSU that was only $20. That would make me very uneasy. If I were you I would take a look at the PSU list here on the forums and pick one in from the the top two tiers

Unfortunately a PSU is the one part that you really don't want to go cheap on. The risk of destruction of your other parts and/or chance of fire is too risky. Sometimes you can get lucky but that is something you have to decide if you want to risk. The closest I can feel comfortable recommending are between 80-100 new or if you can find a used one you can save a lot of money. check out the classifieds section (near the bottom of the home screen)

Also here is the list of PSUs, I would stay in the top three tiers.

That could be a good choice good eye! That is a tier three but would be a T2 if it has a better quality fan

I agree with WhisperingKnickers here. The psu is the lifeblood of your system, if you skimp it could potentially ruin the computer drastically. I would search craigslist for a good PSU and try and talk them down to your budget, or spend a little more on a brand new one like that Corsair CX450M

It is a really good choice to get a good PSU. Your insurance company will thank you. Sorry that the budget hurts but it really is worth it :)

Ok! Good luck with the PSU!

If you have like $20 more go for SeaSonic G Series, they are literally better than CXM

I mean as long as CXM won't make my computer rip in parts, or burn my house down. I reeeeeeeeally can't stretch my budget any further at all.
