Chipset support

Hello, everyone!

So here's the deal people, I've upgraded my CPU on a Samsung laptop, but failed. But I've learned a lot, it seems Intel limits the CPU upgrade variants, the socket supports the CPU (i5-3380m), but the chipset does not, and the laptop shuts down after 30 minutes. So, where can I find a confirmed list of chipset CPU support?
