Question about sleeving and cable position.

Go to solution Solved by matt_the_d0ct0r,

If I'm understanding you correctly, you just swapped the positions of a black wire and yellow wire, then No this won't be a problem. All the wires are the same, just plain copper wire. However, MAKE SURE they are swapped on BOTH the motherboard side and the PSU side! If not you will definitely have issues. Black is usually ground and yellow is usually 12 volt. Big difference.

Willing to sleeve my PSU during the next week or so, however, I have a question.

For example, if I had a cable/pin in position one of the connectors, and I swapped it out for a cable/pin in position 8, while the first one being a yellow colored wire and the second a black colored one, would that be a problem?

Thanks.
