I need a graphics card.

Hello, people of the internet, I am building a computer that is going to be used mainly for video production.  Right now I have planned to put in a refurbished VGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti DirectX for $150.  I am going to be doing a lot of animation rendering on this PC, so I am wondering if there is any other graphics card that would perform better with that. It would have to be $150 or under, and I don't care about gaming performance because I am not a gamer and I will not be using this computer for that.

If you accept used products, you can get some solid stuff off sites like Craigslist. Just search for "graphics card", "geforce gtx", or "radeon", set the filter to cheapest first, and find the best thing within your price range.

Looking at ebay, maybe a gtx 780.

Pick a used 970 it will outperform the 1050Ti performance in CUDA workloads (hw accelerated softwares are required to support this specific feature, first do some research). 

Don't go much further, a 780 won't perform as good and will be too old for gaming if you ever desire to do that. 

AMD cards went mining camp so no luck finding one :P
