Hi there!

I've been looking for a gaming headset for a bit now and I've seen the HyperX Clouds come back over and over. Are they actually any good? Do you guys know any other gaming headset (with a mic) that has a good price for its performance?

Basically : Budget Gaming Headsets, whadaya guys have in mind?

I was one to go through headsets like crazy ( 3 a year or so) in the past 5 years. I bought these, Audio-Technica ATH-PDG1 Gaming Headset. I would rebuy the same pair in a heartbeat. They were like $150AUD when I got them, so not sure if that's in your budget or not.

Just got the massdrop deal for the Sennheiser gaming headset for cheap. I would recommend the Cloud Cores. Cheaper and the same thing without the accessories.

I think it's muddy and has a small soundstage (distance to sound) and bad imaging (direction of sound) compared to Monoprice Modern Retro and Superlux HD669 (w/ Brainwavz PU leather pads.)

If you can use an open-back headphone instead of closed-back, then Superlux HD668B (w/ Brainwavz velour pads) is even better. Audio-Technica ATH-AD500X is another option.

Add an Antlion ModMic, and you have a headset.
