I'm just bought an Asus P5WDG2 WS PRO (don't ask why). I install a PC2-5300 2GB ram in, an E2160 and a HD4850 from HIS. The thing booted and then show an error " Chassis intruded! Fatal error... System halted". I tried:
- reset cmos/bios settings
- use jumpers on the chassis intrusion headers

- this is on a test bench so no chassis intrusion sensor or switch attached
And I can't enter bios either, the splash screen appears, I spam Del then it just skip and shows the error
Help pls, much appreciate

On the motherboard there is a chassis intrusion header.

You probably need to bridge those pins.

It is to prevent people from opening system, server cases might have a cable for that.

But just bridge its pins.

On the mb there are 2 headers, 1 is the cmos which is in 1-2(normal) position, the second header is in 3-4(intrusion sensor+ground). Everything seems right, but when i turn it on it throws me chassis intruded! Fatal error.... System halted

its an old enterprise security feature. theres suppose to be a switch on the case that triggers this alarm when case is opened. You should be able to turn the alarm off in bios

That's the main problem, i can't enter bios, the splash screen appears i spam Del and it just skip to the American Megatrends screen

you need to bridge the pins of the intrusion and ground.

So just bridge them with that blue piece?
