You already own an 1150 motherboard? Why switch at all then? Just buy a used 4790k and keep the rest, will perform much better than the i3.

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Wait, you do not buy an i3 7350k that processor makes as little sense as the i5 7640x, you'll have to spend a lot of money on Z chipset and aftermarket cooling for the performance of a locked i5 7400.... ??

Okay so let's go step by step, what is your country, your budget and your purpose for the PC? I can give you better balanced ideas through pcpartpicker

300 euros is very tight budget, do you already have any component such as hard drives or power supply? Trying to fit in something here

Though you made a big mistake by buying the i3-7350K without asking anybody on the forums. Litteraly everybody would've said "don't buy it".

Weet ik maar wat ik bedoel is zou je dat aanraden met de i3 of zal ik me moederbord erin houden voor een i5 gaan aangezien ik geen clu intensieve spellen speel.

So 300$ for just motherboard + CPU? Memory too?

You already have a graphics card? Which one is it?

For both builds you should not pair any thing higher than this possible future GTX 1070/GTX 980ti since the CPU will bottleneck any thing higher tier.

If you can add more funds the only change would be for Intel is get the i7 7700 and for AMD get the R5 1600 to give you more powerful CPU that can be matched with a GTX 1080ti even.

Observations: The memory is different because AMD will see a lot of performance boost getting 3000mhz while Intel is much less sensible to memory frequencies meaning 2133mhz are good enough for your user case.

Cheers!

Overclocking can be fun, but not great value. You would be giving up more performance and money by buying into Kabylake.
