Hello fellas. I'm in the market for two new laptops. The use scenarios will be CAD applications, photoshop and media comsumption for the 14" one and office applications, media comsumption, occasional video/photo editing (nothing crazy, just promo videos for my local business, so don't stress too much about that) and personal use for the other (15").

I always liked Ultrabooks because they're light (we'll be carrying them all over the place) and powerful. Razer/Fractal-ish looking would be sweet.

Other than that, I need good keyboards, good I/O (2x usb and ethernet being mandatory) and a non-reflective screen (speaking of, what's the correct term for it?).

I'm asking you because I am totally oblivious when talking about laptops.

Thanks!

what do I have to look for to ensure cad and photoshop capabilities?

Quad core CPUs. At the min. You're not going to get alot of dGPU in the 700 categories. Maybe a 940mx for CUDA acceleration. Few photoshop functions take huge advtange of the dGPU so you'll be fine there. CAD on the other hand...might get a little rough.

This is why business laptops with a gt 1030 would be perfect right now, too bad manufacturers want to drain their 940mx stock first and Nvidia is supporting it....
