Word, browsing the Internet, Music

Really just basic stuff. The main reason im thinking 12.9 is so I have a full sized laptop screen and I can get the Razer Keybaord

Are you sure you want an iPad for all that? Keep in mind that it runs a mobile operating system, so what you can get done may be limited.

I would handle them both and decide which works better for you. I would probably lean towards the 12.9 inch if its your primary device.

Edit: since you have a desktop then maybe the 10.5 would be better. Check them out yourself. Specs and software wise they are identical.

Oh, OK. I'd go for the larger one then.

I have a SP3 and I find it uncomfortably large to use as a tablet and a bit small to use as a laptop (but I like 15" laptops).....so, personal preference.

I'd go to an Apple Store and look at them, that way you can see if you really need the 12.9" slab of awesomeness or if just 10.5" is enough. I've got the first gen 12'9" iPad Pro, and it's jaw dropping in games, listening to music, reading books, watching movies, etc compared to my iPhone 6 Plus. And the new one is even faster and has an even better screen, so it should be amazing.
