Top 5 according to who? Are there people here that even used 5 recent wireless headsets? Who does that? xD

 

I have a Corsair VOID RGB, and I was so impressed by it that I got another 2 (for my wife and sister). Charges over micro USB, has hardware power, mute, and volume controls on the left earpiece, and works even as I walk 20 feet away (e.g. when I run downstairs to get bottles\diapers for my newborn in a middle of a gaming sesh). And it has sweet RGB goodness... which I honestly couldnt care less about, but it's there.

Get some headphones which are able to go wired and wireless, just in case you need to remove all the input lag. Aside from that, I'd recommend some Sennheiser, not cheap, but very good quality. Oh, and if you need a mic with the headset, go for some Logitech or HyperX according to your budget

The Logitech G933 is VERY good. My friend has a set and I tried them and compared to my Sennheiser 585's, they're right on par with high end headphones, and the Logitechs even have a bit more bass. Although the Senns are nice and level and neutral. Depends what you prefer. The Logitechs are a bit expensive though. Look for one on sale around $100.

There is no such thing as good wireless headphones.  I think the better question is: "why does anyone NEED wireless headphones?".  Modern headphones come with 9-12ft cords that are in many cases (such as with the Sennheiser HD650's) replaceable easily and cheaply in case you roll over them one too many times with your computer chair or the vacuum cleaner gets it's revenge on you for not replacing the filter often enough.

 

Ignoring the issue with lag and batteries, there is a noticeable difference in audio quality between a decent wired pair of headphones and even the best wireless ones.  What it comes down to is this: power delivery.  You simply cannot deliver good, clean and adequate power with batteries.  Put the most expensive, best sounding pair of wireless headphones up against even a cheap pair of headphones like the AKG K7XX or Sennheiser HD598SE connected to a decent amp/dac and the latter will utterly blow away the wireless pair.

 

The only thing wireless headphones are good for is if you have a TV in a room where someone is going to be sleeping and you want to be able to watch without keeping them awake (and you aren't watching a comedy special).  Other than that, suck it up and get some good wired headphones and proper amplification... you can thank me later.
