ssd not recognized Help if you can

Guys.. I own an ASUS GL552JX laptop.. currently equipped with 1TB HDD, and a 128GB Kingston M.2 SSD
I've been running it for about a year now.. and haven't had any issues.. today, after I came home (I was away from town for a couple of days, left the laptop at home), tried to start it, won't boot

SSD shows up in the BIOS (it's recognized there) but won't show up as a Boot option (I got the SSD on the same day I got the laptop, it worked fine till now)

Has this happen to anyone of you out there? It's really bugging me out.. I got a 5 year warranty on the SSD, why does it do this? is it the SSD or Laptop?

(I tried removing the HDD and just running with the SSD, again won't work)

I didn't find a fix if anyone is wondering.. 

If this happens to you.. just re-format your SSD/HDD (your original boot drive, while your other drive is out, so you won't need to format that too)
