A few weeks ago I decided to format my PC because it started to get messy. After that, I reinstalled Windows 10 Home edition and some weird stuff started to happen. To simplify I will make a list of my issues, that I didn't have before the format.

  • Every time after a shutdown when I login into Windows, the loading gets really slow and even after it successfully signed in Windows is just unusable and requires an HW restart. After this, it just runs fine.
  • While gaming after a few hours some game just kinda 'lose' fps and the game then requires a restart to go back to the usual frames.
  • From time to time Windows just decides to change my default Sound output and Microphone and I have to reenable the default devices.

And I did update all drivers, Windows is also updated.

Here are my Specs:

Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Things to check.

1) Temperatures and fan control software, maybe you need to change fan curves or something.

2) Driver updates, especially gpu software should come from AMD or NVidia websites. Windows downloads drivers, but they are usually outdated.

3) Run some monitoring software to see what is going on, try Aida64 for example. Also MSI aferburner is good too (doesn't need MSI hardware).

4) unlikely, but run disk utilities to check bad sectors on HDD.
