It is to late i have buy Trident x 1600 7-8-8-24, so please dont push product.

It is a knoledge craving question only.

Comparing

ddr3 1600 7-8-8-24

vs

ddr4 4000 18-19-19-39

I found better timing in the ddr3 about 4% in operation per clock based on:

((speed / data rate)/ cl = operation per nanosecond)

(1600     /  2            )/ 7  =114.2857

((4000    /  2            )/ 18=111.1111

It mean's 4% better clock time operation in the ddr3.

Is that it or is there other parameters that i dont actualy know that make the ddr3 obselete (beside not being used by newer cpu generation and PERSONAL OPINIONS)

Or base clock is the main element in ram efficiency.

PLEASE I KNOW THAT THE QUESTION AS BEING OVER ASKED BUT MOST ANSWER ARE DILUTED BY OPINIONS, CAT FIGHT OR SALES PITCH.

And i don't have a phd in computer science so please can you give your answers in that format:

Concept

Example

Expanded explanation

Thanks you very much for any time inputed in that question and sorry for my skull cracking english, i am only trying to reach more people in the universal language that is english.

ddr4 at 18 is trash.

ddr3 is at 9-11 by default.

ddr4 has better bandwidth, and faster clockspeed, and less voltage is used.

no you cant put ddr3 into ddr4 or vice versa.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

-244 vs 288 pin i know.

-voltage dd3 1600 1.5v 7-8-8-24

-is there some thing else than the physical slots and the voltage as difference.

What i am looking is a theorical question not if i can put ddr3 in a z170 mobo, but weather ddr4 is realy better  than ddr3.

If anything could be pluged in every thing

Witch is more performant and if it not the latency the turning point, then what is it;Bus bandwith or any thing else
