Please read it all (dont have to read the games but read enough to help me , also if you have some reccomendations for games that would be great)

So my old pc died(first gpu then cpu then everything else) 3 months ago.(bought it in like 2009 or 2010 so it lasted a long time)

Specs:

Amd Athlon X2 250 dual core @3.0 GHz

Amd 4850x 1gb  Vram

Gigabyte 78 LMT motherboard

500 GB seagate barracuda

400w idk what PSU

So i knew nothing about PC specs and building and what is good and bad.

But i started learning about CPU,GPU,MBD,PSU etc.

But i still dont know everyting.

So i need your help (this is where you guys come in).

But i am looking at GPU"s and i dont know what to get and also the PSU is kinda the problem because idk.

My specs build will be :

Msi B350 Gaming Plus

Ryzen 7 1700

Asus GTX 1070 STRIX/RX 580(any that is good)

16GB (2x8) 3200 MHz idk what RAM but that will be the speed and GB

Toshiba P300 7200 RPM 3TB

PSU myb EVGA 500W 80+Bronze ATX

Case LC-Power 988B with 4 fans (1 in the back 3 in the front, probably gonna put 2 more on the top)

So i know its a Shitty case but it has RGB and its good enough for me because its like 50€

Btw. I live in Croatia where everything is like almost 20€ or 22$ more expensive for the psu , CPU is 47€ more expensive and the GPU is 130€ more expensive so its a fucked up country.

Dont worry about the money but Idk if i should take the GTX 1070 or the RX 580 because they are both good GPU.

I plan to use it for like modding, codding, photoshop, gaming etc. and i have a 1920 x 1080 60 Hz monitor but ill buy a 144Hz monitor soon.

I also do like drawing in 3D and shit in like programs like AutoCad and stuff like that

Most of the games i wanna play below are because

A) My pc could not handle it

B) I did not have enough storage

C) Could not get 60 fps min. on 1080

I know not all games are Demanding like Half life or CS 1.6 but like 20% i did play or still play them so im just gonna install them again because i love/loved playing them

If you wanna take a look at the build yourself or Edit it or like but a 1600x but instead of the 1700, its your choice

All right, now that I've made it readable for dark theme users I'll try to answer.

From what I understand you want to know if your planned build is ok and which graphics card to get. The 1070 is faster than the rx 580, although that means it's usually more expensive. It's worth the extra money if you plan to play at 144hz.

The ryzen cpu is very good value overall, but in games specifically (especially at high framerate 1080p) an i7 7700K is simply going to perform better. With that said, you'd be giving up rendering performance in CAD and similar programs that take advantage of the extra cores. Simply put, if you prioritize game performance go for an i7, otherwise the ryzen is great.

The power supply is sufficient but not amazing. I'd try to go for at least gold rating and modular cables and maybe for 650W or so to have some headroom and extra efficiency.

I also strongly recommend getting an SSD for your operating system. It really makes a big difference in everyday use. You can get a small ssd (120 or 240gb) to install windows on and use the HDD for games and media.

The case is bad but hey, if it's cheap and you don't mind the hassle of building in it it won't be a problem. Just make sure it has enough room for the graphics card you decide to buy. I wouldn't bother buying extra fans.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
