The Realtek Digital Audio it is set to is the correct thing. Do you know for sure if the monitors sound works (eg., Have you used it before with another computer)? Is the monitors volume turned all the way up/ not muted? Do you have a 3.5mm inline cable you could try with the monitor instead?

You should try to verify that the monitors sound works (eg., that the problem isn't with the monitor), whether you use a 3.5mm stereo cable or plug a dvd player into the HDMI port... however you want to test it.

If you have another HDMI cable, try swapping cables (or use the cable with another device like a dvd player) to make sure there is no issues with the cable.

Try uninstalling all the audio drivers and letting windows do its auto detect and driver installation. (eg., devmgmt.msc > Audio inputs and outputs > right-click+uninstall, then when they are removed, scan for hardware changes).

I don't see the "Audio inputs and outputs" anywhere = =

yep. Now right click NVidia High Definition Audio and choose 'Uninstall', then the same for Realtek. After that is done, go to 'Action' and 'scan for hardware changes.'

okay I did it, I did what you said and I opened up a music file, still no sounds :/
