Xbox Chat Mic stopped working

My xbox one chat mic has stopped working. It appears that there is no damage to the abel and there is no damage to the connection between the controller and the mic. The earpiece of th epic still works and i can hear my part but the mic dosent work. The xbox still picks up the mic but i can't talk through it. Help.
