Yes it will be compatible, however the RX550 should be a better alternative price-to-performance, what Power Supply Unit this system has?

Yes for such a low wattage PSU I can not recommend any thing higher than a rx550

I wouldn't know, but I'm currently running in my sidebuild the GT 1030 with 8 GB of DDR2 and a core 2 quad Q9450, with a 350W PSU. If you want any specific benching, I can slap it into my main build and do some test runs :)

 

Also, the machine is pretty much an optiplex with more ram, and the 1030 slapped in. Maybe performance will be similar to yours?

 

Bought it for £50 and at that price, it's a steal.  Bought it out of curiosity, and couldn't be happier with it. It seems to be showing very similar results to my R9 280, which is in my OTHER sidebuild xD
