Software Raid5 question

So for the sake of some redundancy I put my file server in raid5, but without a hardware raid controller. It's thus in software raid5 via windows server. 

I want to reinstall windows on that PC, and upgrade to server 2016 (now it's 2008). Can I disconnect the three hard drives, install windows server and hook them back up without losing the data on it?

 

I'm not sure if that will work.
