DT990s are great for gaming... comfortable and have a wide soundstage for the price.

Any decent amplifier shouldn't color the audio significantly. Doesn't matter if you are using it for gaming or music uel cetera; it just needs to be powerful enough to comfortable drive the headphones. The DT990s are fairly easy to drive, ergo any decent headphone amplifier should be fine.

The DAC will matter more. Some 'gaming' ones (Like the Asus Xonar Essence One) will have effects for virtual surround for gaming that some people like, but I prefer just a transparent DAC and to rely on holophonic effects built into the game engine.

Would that option be good with these headphones for gaming?

Yes. There are tons of other good options though and none really standout (IMO).  Something like the Objective 2 ODAC or Audioengine N22 would be great as well (assuming you need a DAC also). And then there are all the high-end options, which would be 'mispaired' budget wise with the DT990s, but might make sense if you are planning to upgrade headphones in the future and don't want to have to upgrade the DAC/amp again.

What amplifier do you suggest for my  Beyerdynamic DT990 PROs?

Budget? And what Ohm version do you have? Location?

Under no circumstances should you get a O2/ODAC, it is simply not good.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Budget of around £80 250 ohm and England. Would you recommend this amp and dac? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LP3AMC2/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3OX2K9JAC8M3M

hell no, that is crap, pure crap.

I would look for a Monoprice Desktop Amp, it is really good for the price and great with higher ohm headphones. I know you could get it at some point on the UK amazon, but not anymore, but you should be able to find it used, if you can't get it then save up. The E10K would just be a waste of money
